Responsible for cleaning and maintaining College facilities, classrooms, offices, common areas, and restrooms.
Responsibilities
Provide custodial services for Harper College facilities.
Cleans and maintains the College facilities, buildings, offices, classrooms, restrooms and common areas.
Performs custodial duties to include vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, dust mopping and wet mopping floors, furniture dusting, cleaning and replenishing restrooms supplies, emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, cleaning whiteboards, cleaning windows and walls, cleaning restrooms and other facilities as assigned, cleaning elevators and stairwells, and maintaining custodial supplies and equipment
Qualifications
Education: High school education or equivalent.
Experience: Six months of janitorial/housekeeping/ custodial experience is required. Knowledge of cleaning methods, material, and equipment. Must have the necessary skills to do the following: vacuum, wet/dry vacuum, carpet extraction, shampooing, stripping and waxing of floors.
Licensing: Valid Illinois Drivers License

About the Team
The Custodial Services Department is responsible for functions that include, but are not limited to the following: Cleaning of all campus buildings, classrooms, labs and office spaces. Removal of trash, regulated medical waste and recycling materials. Special assistance requests for meeting set-ups and special events.
