Harms Oil is Hiring a Parts Administrator Near Sioux Falls, SD

Harms Oil is a trusted leading petroleum distributor serving the northern Midwest as a main supplier of gasoline, fuel, lubricants, propane, and renewable fuels. Within our region, we have office locations based in Omaha, NE; Sioux Falls, SD; Brookings, SD; and Aberdeen, SD.

Position Summary:

Harms Oil is seeking a hard-working and dependable person to join our maintenance shop team as a parts administrator. This will located at the Harm Oil shop (532 S Valley View Rd, Sioux Falls, SD 57106)

Primary responsibilities will be to accurately order parts from vendors, check parts into our computer system, cycle count inventory, restock inventory, process warranty cores for return, check and resolve inventory discrepancies, and other duties as assigned. The right candidate will value teamwork and take the initiative to complete the task at hand. Experience is preferred but we will train the right person.

Responsibilities:

Request parts and supplies from internal and external sources;

Maintain appropriate inventory levels

Maintain accurate files and log books;

Respond quickly and accurately to part requests from shop personnel;

Provide superior customer service, in person and over the telephone;

Issue parts from inventory to work orders;

Issue purchase orders to vendors;

Process warranty cores for return;

Cycle counts of parts inventory;

Review purchase orders and post invoices;

Restock Inventory;

Data entry experience in a vehicle maintenance/parts environment is preferred.

Other duties as assigned by management;

Requirements:

Must be able to maintain a safe, reasonably clean, and organized work environment

Must be able to follow directions

Must be able to work basic computer functions

Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Must have a Driver’s License

Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems (Preferred)

Familiarity with truck parts and equipment (Preferred)

Operate a forklift (Preferred)
