Harmonium is Hiring a Site Director - PrimeTime Children's Program Near San Diego, CA

Harmonium was established in 1975 through an enterprising blend of vision and necessity to respond to Mira Mesa's rapidly growing need for juvenile diversion services. We continue to shape our mission, goals and services by listening to the needs of neighborhoods, individuals and families.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that reaches more than 30,000 San Diegans a year and offer a wide array of innovative and customized program services to over 5,000 children, youth, and families each day throughout San Diego County. We believe creative planning, collaboration, and strength-based intervention results in high quality services that promote well-being.

JOB DESCRIPTION.
The Site Director is responsible for the overall supervision and management of their sites. They will conduct regular parent meetings to distribute information, conduct regular staff meetings, enforce progressive disciplinary procedures, develop and coordinate learning program activities and ensure administrative paperwork is accurate and completed on time.

JOB COMPLEXITY.

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of the program while following contract
  • Provide regular supervision
  • Develop and coordinate creative in-person and distance learning program activities
  • Create and monitor student behavior plans and transitional plans when necessary
  • Maintain attendance and snack records
  • Ensure all administrative paperwork is accurate and completed on time

MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass CAPE test or have a minimum of 48 college units completed (
  • Must have 1 year working in an after school program or group child care setting
  • Must be able to work at least 90% of all program hours
  • Valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Valid TB results required
  • Must have reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
  • Must have either a minimum of 12 completed units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation or related field or a minimum of 12 months documented work experience in an ASES program
  • Must have 1 year supervisory experience of children & staff OR 1 year assistant supervisory experience within Harmonium OR demonstrated administrative and programmatic experience (ex. attendance tracking, staff counseling/training, student support, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.75 per hour
