Summary/Objective
The Software Support Specialist I role is a first level support resource for internally developed applications and processes. This role will be responsible for monitoring application logs and help desk requests. The role will also be responsible for handling questions and troubleshooting issues with the production environment. This will be an onsite role.

Essential Functions

• Monitor application logs and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
• Monitor help desk tickets and provide first-level support.
• Perform application configuration updates for setup and permissions.
• Review and test application releases on pre-production and production.
• Perform application and service deployments.
• Write documentation for applications and processes as needed.
• Run SQL export queries as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to new and current staff members.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to information being processed, stored or accessed on the network.
• Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.
• Other duties as required 

Requirements

 Required Competencies

• Experience with customer support and troubleshooting application issues.
• Experience with Jira software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Evening and/or weekend work may be required in response to the systems being supported.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time salaried position that operates during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

Travel
Travel is not required for this role.

Required Education and Experience

· Degree in a related field and 1-2 years of software support experience, or equivalent applicable work experience.

· 1-2 Years of Helpdesk experience
