About the Role
Development Quality(DevQ) is a team dedicated to building a "culture of waste prevention" within product development. DevQ establishes standards and guidelines for assuring product quality during development, then measures the effectiveness of our development methods to deliver quality products and satisfy our customers.
DevQ engineers are project team members specializing in hardware/mechanical or software quality. DevQ engineers identify key measures of product maturity and project "health" and make them visible to project leaders for quick course correction. DevQ engineers also carry out specific work product audits and development process assessments in order to identify strengths and weaknesses in our development processes, methods, and tools. As a valuable output, they prepare clear "problem statements" for continuous improvement teams to use in waste reduction.
