Position Overview:

Responsible for the implementation of after-school activities to groups of students. Provide supervision and guidance to students in the after-school program.

What Success Looks Like: Responsibilities include the following:

• Provide instruction to groups of 10/20 students
• Responsible for overall supervision of students in an assigned group
• Provide daily supervision and guidance to students
• Provide students with a safe, nurturing and socially stimulating environment daily
• Contribute to program planning
• Developing and implementing lesson plans
• Maintaining classroom records
• Maintaining program space
• Monitor individual student goals
• Communicating with parents
• Develop special projects
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary
• Participate in staff development as necessary

Our Ideal Candidate (Qualifications):

• You have a High School Diploma
• You have an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• You have completed 9 to 18 months experience working with school-age children in a recreation, fine arts, camping or academic setting.
• You have excellent communication skills with diverse populations: both written and verbal are required.
• You have demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills;
• You exercise good judgment and make sound decisions.
