Harkins Theatres seeks a Traffic Manager to join the Creative Services team at the Theatre Support Office in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Traffic Manager is a producer, meaning they make sure the work gets produced. The Traffic Manager is the vital hub of our Creative Services Team and a multi-talented professional. Part Magician - can juggle many projects and find miraculous solutions to problems of any size. Part Mechanic - can keep the creative engines running like a well-oiled machine. Part Psychologist - empathetic to what makes people tick and a sensitive motivator. He/she will report to our Senior Project manager and work with cross-functional teams to ensure that all creative projects are scoped, scheduled, tracked and delivered on time. They will proactively report on status, prioritize work, assign internal design resources, and recommend and implement process improvements. The Traffic Manager also moves work through the process and system through completion, including gaining cross-functional alignment and resolving issues.

Requirements: 

• Intakes all creative requests, reviews job starts to ensure project requirements are clear and complete, prioritizes work, recommends allocation to internal/external resources, and adjusts schedule to meet business needs.
• Provides timelines, tracks all creative projects, and provides status and milestone reports to supervisor and internal partners.
• Routes all materials for approval through digital workflow tool from concept through completion.
• Leads daily and weekly project update and status meetings with creative and cross functional teams.
• Partners closely with the Marketing Team to initiate jobs, create workflows and timelines.
• Writes and distributes meeting re-cap notes to the team after every kick-off or review meeting.
• Manages and distributes regularly scheduled communication of project status.
• Leads team on trafficking software and is subject matter expert to support the team with training, troubleshooting and implementation of best practices.
• Follows up with internal and external partners to address challenges and identify and remove roadblocks.
• Helps develop processes and updates digital tool to deliver effective, efficient and user-friendly workflows.
• Tracks project budgets and reports on monthly status.
• Provide cost comparisons and rationale when recommending for external creative resources

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in project management, advertising, communication or similar field, and 5 years traffic or project management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the creative process including strategy, concept development, copywriting, design development, photoshoots and art production.
• Experience with project coordination and trafficking of creative projects required.
• Work Front Knowledge preferred. Or another time/job management software such as workamajig.
• Additionally, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus.
• Supervisory/training/mentoring experience a plus.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Capable of remaining calm and using good judgment in elevating situations.
• Extremely organized with strong attention to detail and ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
• Able to prioritize and work on multiple projects and tasks with frequent interruptions while maintaining flexibility and composure.
