• Must be a graduate of the Maritime Law Enforcement Academy's Boarding Officer course.
• Must be able to effectively facilitate mock boarding scenarios.
• A High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Be proficient in using the following software applications: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, & PowerPoint
• The ability to represent the U.S., the U.S. Coast Guard, and Harkcon in potentially sensitive international/geo-political areas/arenas.
• The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English.
Desired Knowledge & Experience• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a classroom instructor working with translators.
• U.S. Military Master Training qualification or civilian equivalent.
Physical Requirements• Must be physically capable of instructing for 6-8 hours per day.
• Must be physically capable of climbing ladders and moving through small compartments.
Other Requirements/Details• U.S. Citizenship required and must pass a background check.
• Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
• No security clearance is required for this position.
International travel will be required with trips taking up to 24 hours each way. While on location, full time, 40 hours a week. Shift work or flexed work may be required.
