Overview

This position provides support and expertise to implement environmental programs to ensure unit compliance with environmental regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Environmental Compliance:

• Responsible to review and maintain daily environmental compliance records and periodic reporting requirements
• Follow-up, track, and ensure timely close-out of environmental related action items
• Be the unit contact for Agency inspections / audits
• Provide unit-specific coordination, preparation, and maintenance of environmental compliance between internal audits
• Be the unit contact for all data required for completion of environmental reporting
• Be the unit contact for all data required for new environmental permits or changes to existing environmental permits
• Develop and implement processes (both equipment based and administrative) to achieve compliance with environmental regulations
• Support and provide input to the Site’s environmental strategy
• Provide engineering-based continuous improvement solutions for minimizing the impacts of environmental processes (including waste minimization)
• Support efforts to obtain new or revised environmental permits
• Accountable for unit environmental training of production personnel
• Participate in and provide expertise (as necessary) in PHA’s
• Ensure compliance with waste management activities
• Review all MOC’s for environmental compliance
• Coordinate pre-audit preparation work
• Collaborate with EHS Specialist to understand permitting, regulations, and applicability
• Participate on a site-wide best practice team led by the EHS hub Capital Project Support:
• Support environmental permitting efforts by supplying process / operating data for capital projects
• Ensure capital projects meet applicable regulatory requirements for environmental compliance
