Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Clerk ensures payments are processed and posted into the Company’s accounting system in a timely fashion in accordance with company policies and procedures. The A/R Clerk also provides back up coverage for other roles in the department and performs general administrative duties as assigned. The role is based in Elkhart, Indiana.
Responsibilities
· Identify when invoices are past due and contact customers to facilitate payment
· Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending payment reminders & contacting clients
· Resolve payment discrepancies by communicating with customers
· Prepare bills, invoices, and monthly customer statements
· Verify invoice discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
· Manage tax exempt forms and obtain updated tax exempt when necessary
· Answer phones as required
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Ability to manage time effectively in a consistently fast-paced environment with high volume A/R
· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
· Self-motivated, punctual, with strong sense of urgency
· Excel at multi-tasking and ability to work with interruption
· Ability to work independently, within a team, and to take direction
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Quick learner who possesses problem solving skills and mathematic competency
· Desire to help others, integrity, positive attitude
Experience
· 2 years or more experience in a similar role is preferred
· Certificate or degree in accounting preferred
