Hardman's Summersville is seeking a Rental Associate to assist customers with rental equipment needs, complete rental deposits and paperwork, provide instructions for use and safety, load/unload equipment, and deliver equipment (mini-excavator, skid steer, stump grinder, etc.) using company truck as required.

Candidate must be willing to obtain a class D license. Hardman's will pay for the cost.

Responsibilities:

-Primary receiver of rental equipment: Inspect for damage, cleanliness and fuel at the time of the return. See that contract gets closed out accordingly either by you, or a team member at the counter

-Daily Maintenance of Rental Equipment: Grease equipment after each rental. Clean excess grease from machine to keep up appearance of equipment. Inspect ware items after each rental (chain tension, cutting teeth, blades, tires, tracks, etc.) Address according to findings to maintain good condition.

-Cleanliness of Rental Equipment and Storage Areas: As equipment is returned dirty, clean equipment accordingly. Clean parking lot and storage areas for rental equipment as needed to maintain a clean image.

-Track and Complete Preventative Maintenance of Rental Equipment: With the guidance and assistance from the store manager, help to build a comprehensive list of preventative maintenance items needing completed for each machine. Keep up with hours on the equipment, schedule and complete tasks as needed based on usage of equipment while minimizing equipment down time.

-Keep a Clean and Functional Rental Shop: Keep the rental shop clean and orderly. All tools should have a place. Working with the store manager, order and maintain proper levels of commonly used parts on hand for the equipment, so repairs can be completed with little down time.

-Delivery of Rental Equipment: As our rental department grows, the company may make the addition of delivery truck. The rental tech would be responsible for safe delivery of equipment to and from customer’s job sites.

-Assist in Stihl Shop: The rental tech would have the chance to learn and assist with the Stihl repair shop. This would include being trained up to the Silver Tech level through Stihl’s Master Wrench Certification program. While rental equipment would be their top priority, at times of high volume in the Stihl shop they may be asked to help.

-Assist Retail Customers- At times the rental tech will be needed to assist with retail customers on the sales floor.

-Willingness to work Saturdays- The rental tech will be required to a Saturday rotation.

-Assist with all areas of the store- As business dictates, the rental tech will be asked to help with various projects.

STARTING PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE.

• Candidates must complete a background check and drug test. All drivers are drug tested randomly while employed.
• Must be able to work outside in most conditions, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, chain or strap equipment to trailer, must have excellent driving skills for getting in and out of WV driveways.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
