SUMMARY
Harding Academy is an independent, co-educational school offering Pre-K through Grade 8 education in Nashville, TN.
Harding is seeking a responsible and reliable Day Porter and Morning Route Shuttle Bus Driver (non-CDL). The ideal candidate will possess a kind and outgoing personality, and the ability to interact effectively with children, faculty/staff, parents, volunteers and other Harding Academy community members. Also strict observance of passenger transport regulations and regard for passenger safety is the highest priority.
This is a full-time 12-Month Non-Exempt Staff position paying a competitive hourly wage for 40 hours per weekfrom 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday-Friday (including an unpaid 30-minute meal break). In the event overtime becomes applicable, it will be paid at the rate of time-and-a-half of the hourly rate for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek. You will be paid on regularly-scheduled payroll dates on a bi-weekly basis for the number of hours clocked in, including those for any unscheduled events. The position offers applicable full-time benefits which may include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Facilities & Transportation in the performance of the duties of this position, the Day Porter and Morning Route Shuttle Bus Driver will have a dual role:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak; hear; stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, grasp or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be available to allow the employee to perform the essential functions of the job.
