Restaurant Shift Leader

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Shift Leader assists the AssistantManager and General Manager with management activities and duties, ensuring allactivities are consistent with and support the restaurant’s businessplan. The Shift Leader ensures all Team Members are performing their jobresponsibilities and meeting all expectations in all areas of theirjob description.

ESSENTIALDUTIES:

· Take necessaryaction to ensure all hospitality service is outstanding; anticipates andexceeds guest needs; handles situation and requests immediately in a positivemanner.

· Effectively“paths” the restaurant to monitor all aspects of the restaurant’s operation toanticipate problems; takes initiative to correct problem areas immediately.

· Consistentlyenforces and maintains all quality, service and cleanliness standards.

· Monitors andmaintains proper staffing levels and labor costs.

· Create a friendlyatmosphere for Team Members and Guests.

· Effectively trainand provide direction and supervision for Team Members.

· Support efforts tomaximize sales and profits and minimize controllable costs.

· Effectively plan,organize and implement all operational routines and activities during yourshift.

· Maintain acooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and fellow TeamMembers.

· Performing othertasks as directed by management.

· Ensuring allsanitation, safety and security policies and procedures are observed andenforced.

· Ensure personalappearance meets company standard and displays professionalism at all times.

· Recognize andadhere to all HR, sanitation, safety and security policies and procedures toprovide a safe and compliant environment for all.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Stand for longperiods of time.

· Work around hightemperatures.

· Work around othersin close quarters.

· Able to lift 50 poundscomfortably.

· Work with variouscleaning products.

· Must be a minimumof 18 years old emancipated minor with documentation.

· Must be willing towork flexible hours, including opening and closing shifts.

· Must have reliabletransportation and method of communication with restaurant (i.e. phone oremail).
