HARD Manufacturing Company, located in Buffalo, NY, is a leading manufacturer of quality hospital cribs and youth beds both domestically and internationally. Our products are built in our local manufacturing facility by UAW labor.

Position Summary

The Product Assembler is tasked works on solo tasks and with a team to do final assembly of finished hospital cribs and beds using manual and power hand tools. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to work effectively individually and as a teammate, understands, thinks, and can follow work instructions, to ultimately assemble the components of our high quality steel hospital cribs, bassinets and beds. Skills in forklift use in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work individually and/or with an assembly team member to prepare cribs through final assembly and ready for shipment
• Some assembly steps require detailed work with hand tools
• Package final products according to instructions
• Verify and inspect work to meet check lists or specifications
• Perform quality control (using basic math skills), follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
• Follow written and oral instructions
• Stand to complete most tasks; occasionally lift heavy objects
• Be flexible in learning new tasks

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Successful job experience in manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 3 years experience with hand tools used in assembly
• Ability to read and use various measurement tools to verify inspections.
• Good communication skills, positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Pays attention and takes pride in their work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $22.30 per hour
