Responsibilities:
- Meet with potential borrowers to discuss their mortgage needs and financial situation
- Assist borrowers in completing loan applications and gathering necessary documentation
- Evaluate loan applications and determine the best mortgage options for borrowers
- Present loan options to borrowers and explain terms, conditions, and costs
- Guide borrowers through the loan process from application to closing
- Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate loan processing
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process, addressing any questions or concerns
Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills to effectively communicate loan options and terms to borrowers
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with borrowers and provide a positive experience
- Proficiency in mortgage servicing processes and procedures
- Knowledge of TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations and FNMA (Federal National Mortgage Association) guidelines
- Ability to accurately perform 10-key typing for data entry purposes
- Strong math skills for calculating loan amounts, interest rates, and monthly payments
- Experience in contract review and understanding legal terms related to mortgage loans
