  • PERFECT SUMMER JOB***
Harbor is currently seeking Summer Youth Job Coaches! Job Coaches will provide vocational rehabilitation and job coaching services. Position is part-time during the summer only.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree with teaching/training or related experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient and accurate in computer use, including Microsoft Word.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and be deemed insurable through Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
Job Duties
  • Provides on-site job coaching to youth at local community employers
  • Responsible for accurate and timely documentation which includes, but is not limited to: weekly progress notes, detailed job-task analysis, incident report forms and any other forms necessary to document coaching services.
  • Analyzes job duties and environment at worksite, breaks down jobs into trainable steps and evaluates worksite/youth compatibility
  • Assesses participant readiness for employment and formulates appropriate interventions to assist them in developing their vocational skills, appropriate work behaviors, time management, and development of vocational interests
  • Assists participants in identifying and communicating his/her interests, skills, and aptitudes to assist in exploring possible vocational choices.
  • Provides support to participants to assist them in problem solving and managing barriers to employment/participation
