Assisted Living facility, located on Long Island, is seeking a Med Tech. Candidate must be able to oversee a team of Aides to make sure all employees are working effectively and efficiently towards the same goal. The Med Tech is responsible for:

• Providing staff training, mentoring, and supervision of staff. Help provide patient care.
• Ensuring quality care is given to residents in an environment that promotes their right and dignity.
• Must be knowledgeable of the individualized care plan for residents and provide support to the resident according to the care plan.
• Works closely with doctors and other health professionals to plan and implement care to maintain optimal health of resident.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services to them. Interacts with the residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.
• Performs various tasks including vital signs, resident's weights, applying ointments/creams, collecting specimens, administering medications as needed.
• Maintains accurate accounts of resident care and follows DOH and NYS regulations.
• Must be able to work closely with families and be able to handle challenging situations with patience, understanding and professionalism.
• Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability.
• Must be vaccinated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
