The controls and software team is looking to add a controls / calibration engineer to support the development of thermal management systems. This engineer will contribute to the performance evaluation and optimization of electric vehicle thermal management systems and more broadly energy consumption and efficiency of the produc

What You’ll Do:

• Develop thermal system performance for powertrain, battery, and cabin loads
• Analyze vehicle data to evaluate thermal system performance
• Create development and validation plans for thermal system management controls
• Plan vehicle testing trips and associated logistics
• Support and contribute to controls algorithm development and implementation
• Test and develop thermal diagnostics of both electrical level and system level faults

Who You Are:

• Knowledge of vehicle thermal systems: battery cooling, powertrain cooling
• Knowledge of heat transfer, heat exchanger performance
• Knowledge of Refrigeration cycle 
• Experience with electric vehicle technology, and high voltage systems
• Experience with CAN monitoring tools such as CANalyzer, BusMaster, or similar preferred
• Experience with Calibration tools such as CANape, ETAS Inca, ATI Vision or similar
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink
• Experience with physical modeling suites: GTSuite, AMESim, Simscape, Kuli, etc.
