Harba Solutions is Hiring a Quality Control Chemist Near Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities:

  • Collect samples of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products for analysis.
  • Prepare samples for testing through proper techniques and procedures.
  • Conduct various chemical tests using analytical instruments to determine the composition and properties of materials.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, titrators, and other analytical instruments.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine calibration.
  • Analyze test results and interpret findings, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing test outcomes, deviations, and recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests, procedures, and results.
  • Document any deviations from established protocols and participate in investigations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to existing processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control methods.
  • Adhere to safety protocols in the laboratory.
  • Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Proficiency in the use of analytical instruments and laboratory techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting data.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
