We seek an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our growing team at Happy Valley Veterinary Hospital in Happy Valley, OR. In this role, you will be working alongside a team of professionals to deliver outstanding care to pets. The Certified Veterinary Technician is responsible for providing this maximum level of care and excellent customer service to the owners and other team members. **MUST BE TRAINED IN SURGERY & DENTALS AND HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE**

Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary medicine, educating clients, and patient care.

  • Collaborating with the hospital manager and clinical staff
  • Ensuring the flow of the hospital runs efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Physical examinations and patient assessments
  • Dentistry
  • Radiology
  • Surgical preparation and assisting
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Patient recovery
  • Maintain medical records
  • Venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory, pharmacy, and restraint
  • Assisting with reception duties, including triage and intaking and discharging patients

Required Qualifications:

  • CVT, RVT, or LVT (as applicable by state)
  • Graduated from an accredited veterinary technician program
  • Completed the VTNE
  • Proficient in anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry, including dental X-ray.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
