Toolmaker 1 – Non-Exempt

We are looking for a toolmaker who has experience in analyzing specifications, lay out material stock, set up and operates machine tools, knowledge of fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair jigs and fixtures, gauges, composite molds, specialty machines and specialty tools, applying knowledge of tool shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout, machining, and assembly procedures.

Job Qualification Requirements:
Training and Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years apprenticeship specifically in tool making. Must have High School Diploma or GED. Must have a minimum of 3 years of trade school, vocational education, or equivalent work experience
Visual Acuity: Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
Hearing Ability: The employee must be able to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate actions.
