Hanwha Advanced Materials America is Hiring an IT Specialist Near Opelika, AL

IT Specialist
We are looking for a dependable, technically skilled candidate with good problem-solving ability, determined to grow with the company for at least the next three years. The duties of an IT Technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner, and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.

IT Technician is expected to display good interpersonal skills as he/she will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. He/she is required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions to them.

IT Technician Responsibilities:

  • Conducting and monitoring daily help desk operations.
  • Providing support to users and being the primary point of contact for error reporting.
  • Managing technical documentation.
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
  • Monitoring and tracking all IT related inventories and data including client and infrastructure information.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
  • Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
  • Keeping up to date on the latest developments and trends in the industry.
  • Getting quotes for various hardware purchasing and entering them to the internal ERP system.

IT Technician Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2 years’ experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
  • A , MCP or Cisco Certified Entry Networking certification would be a plus.
  • Be punctual and consistent with the beginning and ending work hours.
  • Comply with work instructions and prioritize; take due dates of each assigned task seriously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 4 years’ experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
  • A , MCP or Cisco Certified Entry Networking certification.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
