Hansen is Hiring an Assembler 1 Near Commerce, GA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plans assembly procedures and positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following specifications / blueprints. Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
Installs moving parts and tests for free movement. Installs piping or wiring as needed. Aligns and meshes control valve to assembled system. Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product. Pack and label product according to customer expectation.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Wear safety eye glasses and steel-toed shoes. Obtain forklift training if applicable. Follow proper lifting techniques. Participate in hazard communication training. Understand emergency procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
