Retail Sales Associate Opportunity:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers, ask questions and listen to their needs in order to make recommendations and inspire customers to buy their perfect pair of shoes!
• Promote and support the Hansen’s Comfort Shoes brand through professional selling and exceptional customer service. We strive to measure and fit every customer to ensure they are receiving the best product for their needs.
• Be knowledgeable and up to date on company communication, product knowledge, priorities, launches, and any additional information required by the Store Manager.
• Utilize Point of Sale (POS) system to collect customer information and process payments, refunds, and exchanges. Handle all transactions courteously and professionally.
• Support with inventory management including receiving, processing, restocking, and visual displays.
• Maintain a clean and organized store. This includes, but is not limited to, dusting shelves, sweeping floors, returning shoes back to where they belong in the stockroom, cleaning mirrors, and any other housekeeping items deemed necessary.
• Under the direction of the Store Manager, you may perform/complete additional projects, duties, and assignments as needed.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Minimum 1-2 years of retail sales experience required
• Minimum 1 year of retail shoe experience preferred
• Entrepreneurial drive to excel in a commission based environment
• Basic computer literacy with POS system experience
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and nights
• Dependable attendance and punctuality of at least 95%
• Experience cash handling and opening/closing procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations and customers
• Positive and team oriented attitude with growth mindset

The physical demands of this position involve talking, hearing, reaching, standing for up to 100% of working hours, and frequent bending or kneeling to tie and fit shoes. May occasionally involve lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and using the shoe box retriever pole.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
