Hansen Construction is Hiring a Project Manager Near Aspen, CO

Project Manager: Hansen Construction is seeking detail oriented, hardworking individuals that understand the importance of creating and maintaining a positive work environment. Our core values are Excellence, Positivity, Passion, Professionalism, and Integrity. The employee will need extensive experience in construction. We are looking for solution oriented people who are passionate about quality. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team atmosphere are critical. This is a skilled position requiring a strong work ethic and the ability to fully manage and coordinate high-end residential construction projects from bidding through completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comprehensive knowledge in quantity takeoffs, estimating and budgeting.
  • Contract negotiation.
  • Contract administration.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Pre-construction coordination.
  • Scheduling and monitoring subcontractors. Ensure the crew’s daily and weekly activities meet production goals.
  • Process day-to-day administrative items (i.e., RFI’s, submittals, shop drawings, procurement, quantity take-offs, etc.).
  • Compose and edit letters, memos, reports, and procedures.
    Identify potential problems, work interferences and schedule difficulties.
  • Anticipate manpower requirements and measure subcontractor performance.
  • Change management.
  • Oversight of concurrent remodel and maintenance projects.
  • Tracking time and material work.
  • Conducting owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings on a regular basis.
  • Coordination with design team and consultants.
  • Client relations.
  • Financial forecasting.
  • Elimination of obstacles that prevent progress in the field.

Experience:

  • High school degree or equivalent. Construction Management Degree or equivalent field experience preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in construction and/or business.
  • Familiarity with other construction trades and crafts.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and an ability/desire to learn new software systems.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be courteous, professional, diplomatic, and highly motivated.
