The Lebanon School District is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as the Hanover Street School Assistant Principal. The position has an anticipated start date of 07/01/2024 with a contract length of 205 workdays per school year.
The Assistant Principal will play an important role on the SAU 88 Leadership Team. The Assistant Principal will work under the direction of the Building Principal to contribute to the daily operation of the school. The Assistant Principal will support the staff and work with students to ensure the learning and advancement of all students. This administrative position promotes an inclusive environment and positive culture at Hanover Street School.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Education
- NH certification as a Principal and Special Education Administrator preferred
- NH K-8 Teaching Certification required
- Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience
General Duties:
- Oversee all areas of special education including the Intensive Needs Program
- Oversee 504 and behavior plans
- Serve as Local Education Agency representative for Special Education meetings
- Assist with administration of state and local assessments
- Oversee the professional development plans for and evaluation of paraprofessionals/related service providers
- Maintain regular communication between the school and families, DCYF, West Central Behavioral Health and any other service providers
- Implement safety procedures and protocols to meet local and state guidelines (i.e. fire drills, lockdown procedures, etc.)
- Any other duties as assigned by the Building Principal, or as needed, to ensure the safe operation of the elementary school
