Hanover County Government is Hiring an ADULT RECOVERY COURT COORDINATOR Near Hanover, VA

General Description:This is a professional position that performs complex tasks with the primary duty of coordinating and managing the Adult Recovery Court (ARC). The incumbent serves as the coordinator to ensure the effective operation and management of the ARC. Duties will require coordination of activities, team staffings, graduations, grant and budget management, conference/training arrangements, drug court database entry, and program handbook management.

Organization:The Adult Recovery Court Coordinator reports to the Director of Community Corrections and works jointly with the Hanover Circuit Court Judge.

Essential Functions:

· Facilitate and attend all recovery court hearings, staffings, and team meetings.

· Manage financial operations for the ARC, to include the BJA, HIDTA, OAA, and Supreme Court grants reporting and writing.

· Maintain program handbook and participant forms.

· Maintain participant case files, status, and database input.

· Ensure compliance with the Supreme Court standards for Drug Courts and federal association standards.

· Serve as liaison between the ARC and other agencies, to include the Supreme Court.

· Prepare reports and make presentations as needed.

· Participate in the Hanover Opioid Task Force.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires knowledge of the VA criminal courts, probation supervision, substance abuse treatment, program administration, grant writing and management. Must be able to establish and maintain a successful working relationship with the Circuit Court Judge, judicial staff, and collaborative agencies. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and maintain confidentiality, required.

Education, Experience, and Training: Requires Bachelor’s degree in any social science or related field. Minimum of three (3) years related experience in the criminal justice field. Experience working with Virginia Drug Courts or Specialty Dockets. VCIN certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be acceptable.

Special Conditions:

· Criminal Records Check, including fingerprinting.

· Valid Commonwealth of Virginia Driver’s License

· Twelve-month probationary period

· Pre-employment Drug Test
