Hanover Co-op is Hiring an Evening Supervisor/Evening Team Lead - Lebanon Store - Full Time (40 hours) Near Lebanon, NH
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Be present and visible on the sales floor, assisting customers and closing employees
- Partner with closing MOD to ensure mutual understanding of staffing, operational needs and plans for the evening
- Walk through all departments checking in with evening staff
- React to sell through and overall condition of aisles and shelves
- Fill back stock, pull forward and/or face product in the front “hallway” leading up to the “horse shoe” to make sure it is full and has abundant product up to closing
- Complete regular walk through of the store to ensure all aisles and public areas are free and unobstructed
- Pick up random papers, cardboard, and plastic as needed
- Complete regular walk through and clean up as needed in the lower and upper café areas as well as the public restrooms
- Complete regular walk through of exterior store front
- Ensure patio area is free of trash, tables and chairs are presentable, carts and baskets collected
- Ensure the front foyer/entrance area is presentable
- Carts are organized and accessible to customers
- Assist Front End MOD with lights, closing store walk through once doors are locked to ensure all customers have exited the building
Required Skills/Experience and Attributes:
- High school diploma/GED
- 2 to 4 years of retail management experience, grocery experience preferred
- Previous retail management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- ServSafe certification required, or acquired within the first 6-months
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule
Schedule Requirements:
Standard late afternoon/evening hours to allow for expanded managerial coverage at the store (1p – 9:30p, 2p – 10:30p), depending upon store location. One weekend day required. Flexibility to cover when the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager is out or on vacation, and/or there is a need to cover a daytime shift due to unexpected coverage shortages.
The Evening Supervisor/Evening Team Lead must be self-motivated, flexible, conscientious, organized, and have a good attention to detail. Also, must have good interpersonal and communication skills, and interface well with management, co-workers, and customers. The Evening Supervisor/Evening Team Lead must have the ability to motivate employees, good judgement and have full knowledge of inventory and stocking procedures. Must have safety and security knowledge and ability to handle emergencies.
