Job Summary

Kiwa Agri Food is looking for a Feed Ingredients Scheme Assessor/Reviewer to join their team. In this role you will conduct technical reviews of the feed ingredient scheme reports and scheme audits. About the role

You will be resposible for conducting technical reviews of the feed ingredient scheme reports (approx. 60% of role) and conducting feed ingredient scheme audits (approx. 40% of role), to support the technical management of the feed ingredient schemes.

  • Reporting to the Feed Ingredient Scheme Manager to support the technical management of the schemes
  • Create strong relationships with customers and scheme owners ensuring ongoing business
  • Complete technical reviews on reports ensuring sufficient information has been received from both the auditor, and the client in response to non-conformities raised
  • Ensure that all technical reviews are undertaken in compliance within agreed timescales
  • Support the sector in the absence of the scheme manager
  • Feedback to Scheme Manager any quality /scheme issues in terms of accreditation
  • Provide technical support to other assessors, whether employed or contracted
  • Grade audit reports and raise any auditor issues as required
  • Conduct assessments of customers within the schemes
  • Answer participant and applicant queries
  • Update and maintain records and reports in electronic systems
  • Support accurate and timely reporting of scheme activity
  • Ensure the quality of the service we offer
  • Maintain technical knowledge via continuous professional development and develop knowledge of other areas in the sector
  • Participate and represent Kiwa in meetings, training seminars, shows and events as required

Do you have what it takes?

  • Previous experience working in the agrifood industry
  • Post secondary education in a science based discipline (e.g. biology, chemistry, agriculture, food technology/science/management, nutrition)
  • HACCP training (required)
  • Technical knowledge in feed ingredients
  • Strong operational knowledge of the food/feed sectors
  • Formal qualification in FEMAS scheme (desirable but not required, training can be provided)
  • Lead Assessor training course (can be achieved as part of the role)
  • Budget management awareness with the ability to work to set targets
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills. Keen eye to detail
  • Good working knowledge of typical IT tools (Microsoft Office, etc)
  • Dynamism, aptitude for problem solving and team work, practicality, reliability, flexibility, and results oriented
  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels
