Responsible for daily oversight and management of the accounting department. This includes supervising the productivity and efficiency of accounting department staff, under the direction of the Dealer Principal and/or Executive Manager.

Responsible for a wide variety of accounting and office duties, including but not limited to:

• Financial Statement Preparation
• Asset/Inventory Management and Reconciliation, including bank account reconciliation and inventory physicals
• Accounts Receivable Management
• Accounts Payable Management
• Vehicle Sales Transaction Accounting, including deal capping, contracts-in-transit, vehicle title & licensing and accurate record keeping
• Receipting & timely Payment of State and Federal Taxes, as required by law
• Payroll Preparation and Administration, including administration of employee benefits
• Ensure performance of cross-training with other accounting department positions for coverage and future responsibility adjustments as needed
• Ensuring all accounting department tasks & procedures are performed in harmony with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ensuring all accounting department tasks & procedures are compliant with all relevant federal, state & local statutes, including privacy & record-keeping laws
• Other miscellaneous job duties as may be required by management

Responsible for assisting the General Managers in Human Resources (HR) administration & management for all dealership staff.
