Hank (gethank.com) is a platform dedicated to helping adults aged 55 discover new friendships and exciting activities in their area. As we expand into new cities, we're looking for enthusiastic and community-driven individuals to join us on this exciting journey.

Role Overview

As a Community Engagement Coordinator for Hank, your role will be pivotal in launching our product in new cities. You will be the face of Hank, bringing people together and creating memorable experiences. Your responsibilities include organizing and hosting activities tailored to the interests of our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and host engaging activities each month in your designated city. Examples of activities include coffee chats, happy hours, museum and library tours, etc.
• Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive community environment, especially for new members.
• Leverage your knowledge of the city to plan fun and appealing events.
• Skillfully manage diverse personalities, ensuring positive experiences for all participants.
• Comfortably use technology, particularly smartphones (iPhone preferred), to coordinate activities and communicate with the team and community members.
• Actively contribute to Hank's growth by tapping into your local network and community leadership skills.

About You

• Passionate about building and nurturing communities, particularly for adults aged 55 .
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to warmly welcome new individuals and manage varied personalities positively.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in using smartphones and digital tools.
• An active community leader with a strong local network.
• Creative and resourceful in planning and executing activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in community building, event hosting, or related fields.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
• Preferred: Existing leadership role within your community and a network ready to engage with Hank.

Travel

This role does not report to a specific office or location, but will require frequent travel to various locations throughout the city (typically within 30 minutes driving of city center).
