Starting pay is $14.00/hour
Responsibilities include:
- All duties as assigned by the client’s Care Plan
- Assisting the client with activities of daily living including, but not limited to, bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, ambulation and feeding
- Supporting and providing a clean, safe and healthy environment for clients and family members
- Performing light housekeeping such as cleaning/sanitizing kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms; laundry, grocery shopping etc.
- Assisting in meeting the client’s nutritional needs by planning and preparing meals
- Assisting the client with ambulation/transfers as specified in the Care Plan
- Reminding the client to take self-administered medications
- Assisting wheel chair client with light exercise or movements in accordance with the Care Plan
- Observing and reporting any changes in the client’s mental, physical or emotional condition or home situation to Hands from the Heart and any other needed parties in a timely manner
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members and co-workers
- Participating in continuing education programs, staff meetings and client conferences as required
- Complete required documentation of services delivered, including time records, promptly
- Use equipment and supplies safely and properly
- Maintain client confidentiality at all times
- Perform any other duties as they become assigned
