Handcrafted Wine and Spirits is seeking an outgoing, qualified individual to fill a sales representative position in the exciting Wine and Spirits industry in the Central and Western Nebraska area. Handcrafted Wines is new to the Nebraska market, but well experienced and successful with distribution operations in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Oregon. This is a fantastic opportunity to get in at the ground level, servicing the top accounts in the Omaha metro and surrounding towns for a rapidly growing company.

Primary Responsibilities/Job Duties:
  • Love for human interaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and take full ownership of assigned accounts and your work.
  • Manage and grow existing and new accounts using your experience to prospect and develop new business within assigned sales territory.
  • Open-minded to be educated.
  • Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust.
  • Motivated and organized. 
  • Develop a customer business growth plan for each account and build a pipeline of selling opportunities to drive incremental sales above base business.
  • Create brand awareness of all HCW amazing products.
  • Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business, and better achieve objectives.
  • Prioritize sales activities to achieve objectives based on each customer’s business grown plan.
  • Visit accounts regularly, grow account business, capture visit notes, and build visit plans considering pervious visit outcomes.
  • Identify/close and maintain orders from existing and new accounts.
  • Maintains ongoing relationship with customers to ensure consistent orders on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of HCW products, and correctly present and position them in each account.
  • Able to build and structure customer presentations and product proposals.
  • Propose solutions to each customer and win the sale using consultative selling skills based on each customer’s buying styles and individual business needs.
  • Achieve internal HCW and supplier objectives as prioritized by management.
  • Manage customers, seek additional opportunities to support the customer’s needs, and support business growth by providing customers with useful information and guidance.
  • Accurate and timely data entry of customer orders.
  • Sell and current products, and manage all promotions.
  • Participate in sales meetings, on-site training, and supplier events as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • 2 or 4 yr BA/BS college degree, preferred but not required.
  • Local candidates preferred (no relocation package).
  • Must live in central or western Nebraska and cover our Western Nebraska territory.
  • Committed to providing a high level of service to customers, suppliers, colleagues, and management. 
  • Previous experience in the wine and spirits industry, preferred.
  • Previous experience in a sales role, preferred. 
  • Able to maintain a valid and current driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Dependable and reliable transportation is required with no MVR violations. 
  • Able to leverage HCW technology to perform duties and responsibilities accurately.
  • Proficient in using mobile devices (i.e. smartphone, iPad, etc.) and communication techniques (i.e. email, texting, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances.
  • Able to take responsibility for own actions and results.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Goal and results driven with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.
  • Travel as needed. 
Physical Demands:
  • Activity may include sitting and using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) and/or using mobile device (i.e. smartphone, tablet).
  • Activity may include bending, reaching, squatting, standing, stooping, and walking throughout the day with segments up to 6 hours.
  • May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 60 pounds, sometime repeatedly.
  • Driving throughout the day with segments up to 6 hours.
