Job Summary

The Department Supervisor is responsible for the complete operations of their department. This position will provide leadership and direction for sales associates within their department. Maintains a positive company image by being courteous and professional in all situations with customers and employees.

Department Supervisor Immediate Supervisor: Store Management Team

Job Responsibilities

· Delegate through others…Set an example for the department

· Communicate with associates, store management, and corporate officials

· Uphold company policies and procedures

· Train and develop sales associate

· Practice and teach customer service techniques

· Merchandise department to attract customer attention

· Process transfers and markdowns

· Monitor department for proper signage, overall cleanliness, and the proper display of the merchandise

· Responsible for promotional set-up

· Evaluate employee performances

· Motivate associates to maximize performance

· Responsible for daily accountability of sales performance

· Assist team members and help in other areas as directed by supervisor or management

Qualifications

· Passion for superior service and helping others

· Consistency and reliability

· Be willing to work a flexible schedule

· Ability to bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time

· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis

· Must be 16 years or older
