Job Summary

The Department Supervisor is responsible for the complete operations of their department. This position will provide leadership and direction for sales associates within their department. Maintains a positive company image by being courteous and professional in all situations with customers and employees.

Department Supervisor Immediate Supervisor: Store Management Team

Job Responsibilities

• Delegate through others…Set an example for the department
• Communicate with associates, store management, and corporate officials
• Uphold company policies and procedures
• Train and develop sales associate
• Practice and teach customer service techniques
• Merchandise department to attract customer attention
• Process transfers and markdowns
• Monitor department for proper signage, overall cleanliness, and the proper display of the merchandise
• Responsible for promotional set-up
• Evaluate employee performances
• Motivate associates to maximize performance
• Responsible for daily accountability of sales performance
• Assist team members and help in other areas as directed by supervisor or management
