Job Summary
The Assistant Manager is to provide support for the store manager and is responsible for store operations, sales volume, and profitability of the total store. In addition, provide leadership and supervision of the store personnel.
Assistant Manager Immediate Supervisor: Store Manager
Job Responsibilities
· Delegate through others…Set an example for the store
· Communicate with associates, customers, and corporate officials
· Uphold company policies and procedures
· Allocate a monthly budget for department work schedules
· Process Reports
· Recruit and hire new employees
· Implement training procedures to develop new employees
· Evaluate current employees’ performance
· Practice and teach customer service techniques
· Merchandise the sales floor
· Keep abreast of fashion trends
· Work in conjunction with Loss Prevention to monitor financial department, stockroom, fitting rooms, etc. for potential security concerns
· Promote the image of Hamrick’s by practicing good public relations
· Motivate associates and team building
· Responsible for daily accountability of sales performance
· Assist team members and help in other areas as directed by supervisor or management
Qualifications
· Passion for superior service and helping others
· Cheerful and positive attitude
· Consistency and reliability
· Be willing to work a flexible schedule
· Ability to bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time
· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
· Must have 3 years of managing retail apparel, shoes, and home décor required
· Organization and time management skills required
