The School of Nursing at Hampton University invites highly motivated applicants for the position of Home Healthcare Professionals Program: RN Coordinator/Primary Instructor (20hr/wk). The Certified Nurse Aide Program RN Coordinator/Primary Instructor is administratively responsible and accountable for the nurse aide education program. The Virginia Board of Nursing Regulation 18 VAC 90-26-10 et seq. requires that each Nurse Aide Education Program have a designated Program Coordinator who is a registered nurse with a current, unrestricted license in Virginia or a multistate licensure privilege.
Job Duties:
The Certified Nurse Aide Program RN Coordinator/Primary Instructor shall assume the administrative responsibility and accountability for the nurse aide education program, which includes oversite of the actual classroom, skills laboratory, or clinical teaching experiences. The Certified Nurse Aide Program RN Coordinator/Primary Instructor is also required to meet the qualifications of the program’s primary instructor.

The Virginia Board of Nursing requires that instructional personnel remain qualified to teach the nurse aide curriculum, with completing a refresher course every three years that includes a review of regulations for nurse aides and nurse aide education programs and the skills evaluated on the board-approved nurse aide certification examination.
