General Contractor in Newport News, VA is seeking an Industrial Construction Carpenter who is committed to performing and maintaining the quality work standards established by Hampton Roads Contracting, Inc.

Description and Responsibilities:

Perform various tasks as required for General Contractor specializing in industrial construction and renovation. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

• Read and comprehend engineered sketches and drawings.
• Building, setting, and wall construction.
• Building remodeling and refurbishment.
• Miscellaneous carpentry.
• Cabinet & Appliance Installation.
• Interior & exterior trim work. 
• Drywall hanging and taping.
• Erect and/or dismantles structures.
• Repair or refinish walls and structures.

Job requirements and qualifications:

• 5 years of direct carpentry experience.
• Enthusiastic, professional, and positive attitude.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
• Ability to kneel for long periods.
• Ability to read and comprehend engineered sketches and drawings.
