Therapeutic Mentor Services helps youth in our community develop a sense of self-work and self-confidence and to promote their personal growth by encouraging and enhancing their academic, social, vocation, independent living, athletic and expressive skills.
The Therapeutic Mentor provides in-home and out-of-home education, behavioral interventions, training and crisis management services to children and adolescents with moderate to severe emotional disturbance, intellectual developmental disability or substance use disorder and their families. Family service work includes the provision of crisis intervention, behavioral interventions, participation in treatment planning, outreach, service provider linkage, monitoring, advocacy, daily living support, respite, independent living skills, vocational instruction, medication monitoring, supportive counseling and positive role modeling.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling) and at least one (1) year clinical experience or five (5) years clinical experience working with emotionally troubled children and affected families, including youth with intellectual and development disabilities.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
