Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Agent/Buyer to join our team.

Duties:

• Evaluating suppliers and subcontractors by considering price, quality, availability, and other criteria
• Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company
• Verifying purchases by comparing them to the requirements of a Customer Purchase Order
• Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors
• Requesting MTRs/Certs or any other additional information from vendors required from QA Manager
• Creating requisitions and purchase orders to fulfill production material and hardware demand
• Advising PM if due date from Vendor exceeds Customer Delivery Date
• Follow-up on status of existing Purchase Orders prior to due date or when requested by PM
• Give status updates to PM
• Assist Estimating Team by going out for material, hardware, and other quotes as needed for upcoming projects and bids
• Create and issue out RFQs to vendors and subcontractors
• Act as point of contact for vendors and subcontractors on questions regarding issued purchase orders
• Coordinate with production to maintain accurate information flow
• Track and maintain stock items for shop floor and office
• Work with vendors to coordinate consumable item contracts:

-First Aid -Snack machines -Welding consumables
