Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Manager to join our team. As a Fitness Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fitness facility, managing a team of fitness instructors, and ensuring exceptional customer service to our members. If you have a passion for fitness and leadership skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of fitness instructors, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
- Provide personal training and fitness class instruction (commissions paid over salary)
- Develop and implement fitness programs and classes to meet the needs and interests of our members
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the fitness facility, including equipment and amenities
- Monitor member satisfaction and address any concerns or issues in a timely manner
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for fitness instructors and provide feedback for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events, promotions, and member retention initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, membership data, and financial transactions
- Assist with sales efforts by promoting personal training sessions, and other services
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in fitness management
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Fitness Manager or related position
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff and members
- Knowledge of fitness equipment operation, exercise techniques, and safety protocols
- Proficient in sales techniques to promote services
- Familiarity with employee orientation, recruiting, math, payroll, and team management
- CPR/AED certification preferred
