HOUSEMAN

Summary of Statement

The Houseman reports to the Executive Housekeeper. The primary function is maintaining the public space and assist with other various duties required by the housekeeping department.

Primary Duties

• Complete the Houseman Checklist daily.
• Must be reliable, willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Must have a working knowledge of all cleaning equipment.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Walk the outside perimeter of building and parking lot to clean up debris.
• Clean all public areas, lobby, restrooms, hallways, vending areas, etc.
• Cleaning of carpets.
• All cleaning projects assigned to him.
• To keep store rooms orderly and clean.
• To notify Supervisors when quantity of items is low.
• Cleaning of all windows, doors, trash receptacles.
• Restock all toiletries in public restrooms
• Clean baseboards and high dust public areas.
• Sweep and mop and vacuum all public area floors.
• Wipe down all art work.
• Clean all furniture removing an noted stains.
• Clean all window ledges.
• Remove all trash.
• Clean elevator tracks and wipe down elevator walls and doors.
• Ensure usage of wet floor signs when necessary.
• Clean vending area by dusting, mopping, stocking of shelves.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• High School diploma or equivalent education / experience preferred.
• Ability to move about frequently in a fast-paced environment in order to greet incoming guests and accomplish daily projects and goals.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
