What does a Public Service Attendant do?

Job Summary:

As a Public Attendant at Hampton Inn & Suites, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of all public areas within the hotel premises. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a pleasant and comfortable environment for guests and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of public areas such as the lobby, corridors, elevators, public restrooms, and other designated spaces according to established standards.
  • Maintenance: Report any maintenance issues or repair needs observed during your shift to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
  • Restocking Supplies: Ensure that supplies such as toiletries, towels, and other amenities are adequately stocked in public restrooms and designated areas.
  • Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of trash from public areas in a timely and hygienic manner.
  • Guest Interaction: Interact with guests courteously and assist them with any inquiries or requests related to public areas.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe environment for guests and colleagues. Follow hotel policies and procedures at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments such as housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all public areas to meet Hampton Inn & Suites' quality and brand standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move supplies as needed.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
