Hampton Golf is Hiring a Communications Specialist Near Jacksonville, FL

Hampton Golf is looking for an amazing Communications Specialist to work with the best Marketing Team in the Industry. This talented individual will work as a key Team Member to deliver and create content, communications and other media related messaging to consumers, clients, and Team Members. You will be responsible for participating in the strategic creation, development, and execution of all company communication pieces (print, online) to promote and publicize managed golf courses/country clubs/restaurant programs, services, and news to consumers, Hampton Golf staff, vendors, and industry media.

Responsibilities:

Essential

  • Consult, create and execute comprehensive strategic company communication plans that introduce new products, programs and important business information to our managed clubs and staff
  • Assist with the company’s effective use of our communications tool
  • Assist with the plan and creation of relevant, complementary content for the quarterly employee newsletter
  • Collaborate on the development, writing and production of key messages regarding club events
  • Develop talking points and presentations for executive staff
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards so that all company communications are accurately represented
  • Being on time to work and maintaining good attendance are conditions of employment and are essential functions of your job. Regular attendance is not only critical for a business to operate efficiently, but attendance and punctuality are good measures of your interest in your job and will be assessed as part of your performance appraisal.

Secondary

  • Proof and review messages sent to members for content, design, and corporate standards
  • Support the creation of engaging online content for company and club websites
  • Back up all approval and posting responsibilities for content submitted for company and club websites
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Education & Experience Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, English, or related field of study
  • Experience in writing in a variety of styles (formal, promotional, social)
  • Demonstrated familiarity with using standard business apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability and willingness to learn

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent proofreading skills and/or bachelor’s degree in English
  • Related job experience in the communications field
  • Experience working in collaborative team settings
