Hampshire Regional School District is Hiring a Grade 3 Elementary Classroom Teacher Near Williamsburg, MA

The 3rd Grade Teacher is the schools primary agent for instruction with responsibility for presenting the curriculum effectively and employing a variety of developmentally-appropriate learning strategies to meet the students needs and interests. The 3rd Grade Teacher works under the supervision of the Principal. The Principal, based on results of an annual performance evaluation, determines consideration for continued employment.Primary Responsibilities: -Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.-Develop and provide standards-based lessons utilizing the schools elementary curricula.-Use a variety of informal and formal methods of assessments to measure student learning, growth, and understanding.-Analyze data to develop differentiated and enhanced learning experiences and improve future instruction.-Utilize instructional practices that reflect high expectations regarding content and quality of effort and work, engage all students, and are personalized to accommodate diverse learning styles, needs, interests, and levels of readiness.-Create and maintain a safe and collaborative learning environment that motivates students to take academic risks, challenge themselves, and claim ownership of their learning.-Collaborate with families to create and implement strategies for supporting student learning and development both at home and at school.-Promote positive community relations through effective, two-way communication.-Demonstrate the capacity to reflect on the effectiveness of lessons, units, and interactions with students, and use insights gained to improve practice and student learning.-Collaborate effectively with colleagues on a wide range of tasks.-Participate actively in IEP, 504, and Child Study meetings-Participate in professional development opportunities.-Participate in school-wide decision making and take an active role in school improvement planning.-Share the responsibility for the performance of all students within the school.General Expectations: -Meet routine responsibilities consistently.-Manage time to accomplish multiple tasks and meet deadlines.-Maintain strong attendance and punctuality.-Work independently with general guidance.-Maintain cooperative relationships with students and adults.-Operate standard office equipment including computer, email, and copier.-Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.-Support the Principals goals, philosophies, and overall mission of the school.-Perform all other duties assigned by the Principal, within contractual guidelines.
