Position Summary

Efficiently lead and perform set-up and tear-down operations on all types of thermoforming machines and related production tooling within.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand and be able to manipulate operating controls on all thermoformers in a Safe and effective manner.
• Without instruction, install and remove all production tooling in a safe and effective manner from all Thermoforming machines.
• Read and understand all production documentation: (including - shop orders, visual work instructions, set-up sheets, Q.C. sheets, and troubleshooting documentation), and use the instructions they provide.
• Without instruction, set up all Thermoforming machines, per set-up sheet, per time standard.
• Demonstrate Safe use of hand tools (tools should include: drills, wrenches, tape measures, scales, heat-guns, other common hand tools, etc.).
• Keep accurate records and entries in the data collection systems, TAKT time sheets, and other related monitoring systems.
• Contribute continuous improvement ideas regularly.
• Mentor operators.
• Demonstrate understanding of all duties and responsibilities of the Operator III position.

Marginal Job Functions

• Cross-train for back up to the Thermoforming technician.
• Cross-train for back up to the CNC/Robotic technician.
• All other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Level of Education/Training Required

• None

Minimum Experience Required

• Basic computer knowledge.
• 2 years as a machine operator.
• 4 years thermoforming experience preferred.

License or Certificate Required

• Forklift Certification preferred. Will train.
