Job Description: Grain Handler

Location: Hayti, SD, 57241

Job Summary

The Grain Handler will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and transportation of grain within the coop. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, be able to work well with others, and be able to perform other duties as assigned within the coop. A CDL is helpful but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload and load grain trucks 
• Weigh and grade incoming and outgoing grain
• Operate grain handling equipment, including conveyors, elevators, and grain dryers
• Maintain accurate records of grain inventory and transactions
• Perform routine maintenance on grain handling equipment
• Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of the coop facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work well with others
• CDL helpful but not required
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a dusty environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
