Hamlin & Burton Liability Management, Inc. is Hiring a Claims Representative Near St. Louis, MO

The Claims Representative will assist in all aspects of claim preparation and file management including drafting routine documents, collecting information relevant to claims and compliance. The position requires the interpersonal skills to maintain and build relationships with staff and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing new claims into the database, verifying complete file information and documentation
  • Maintenance of claim files including legal bills, data management, recording pertinent file information
  • Reviewing and entering financial information such as reserve information, payments from defense counsel, experts and settlement information
  • Verifying and analyzing data used in settlement claims to ensure that claims and settlements are made in accordance to corporate and client policy and procedure
  • Report preparation and completion for clients and internal analysis
  • Perform compliance-related tasks as needed
  • Complete specialized projects assigned that may include legal research
  • Perform general office duties

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • Paralegal and litigation experience with insurance defense preferred
  • Working knowledge of MSP and State/Federal Reporting Requirements a plus
  • Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and technology in general required

Pay Transparency: The base pay range for this position is $50,000 - $56,000; the range is based upon a variety of factors such as a candidate’s experience, skill set and overall qualifications. In addition, benefits include generous PTO, health/dental/vision/life insurance, and a retirement savings account with company match/contribution.
