As a Security Officer, your attentiveness, efficiency, and commitment will ensure our hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(Include the following, but are not limited to)Provide excellent customer service and professionalism when dealing with guests and visitorsTreat all guests and co-workers with dignity and respectProvide excellent telephone etiquette on all phone callsProtect hotel property, guests, and staffRespond to alarms and calls of distressPerform first aid or CPR when neededAct lawfully in direct defense of life or propertyGuard against theft and maintain securityObserve signs of disorder and investigate disturbancesPatrol hotel interior, exterior, and perimeterStop suspicious people and ask for identificationPossess excellent oral and written communication skillsPossess detailed documentation skillsReport in detail any suspicious, criminal, or unusual incidentsMonitor and control access to hotel(s) entrancesMonitor fire alarm systems and CCTV monitorsAdhere to all company policies and proceduresCURRENT SHIFT OPPORTUNITIESFriday, Saturday, Sunday - 8:00am to 4:00pmAdditional shifts may be available based upon the needs of the hotelQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEPossess a valid New York State Security Officer LicenseBasic computer skills, effectively communicate orally and in writingBasic interview and interrogation skillsAbility to work without direct supervisionPhysical ability to perform all security assignmentsAbility to remain calm and make sound judgments in threatening situationsAbility to recognize and deal with suspicious behaviorAbility to recognize and deal with threats to hotel guests and staff
