Job DescriptionHamilton-Wenham Regional High School seeks a highly motivated, student-centered science teacher.This position is for a long-term substitute for the 2024-25 school year. The candidate should understandMassachusetts Science Standards as they align and correspond to current state frameworks. The teacherwill engage students in a welcoming classroom environment that includes inclusive practices, thedevelopment of analytical thinking skills, and experimentation as a way to develop their understandingof the world around them.Overall, we are seeking a candidate who builds relationships with students, families, and peers; isflexible, is comfortable working in a team setting; is adept at breaking down high-level science conceptsto help students achieve a deeper level of understanding and above all believes in instilling a love forscience in all of their students. The teacher will be teaching primarily chemistry and possibly forensics aswell.

Display a collegial spirit that supports and enhances continual professional growth consistentwith the educational goals and philosophies of our school community. Collaborate with all team members, including special educators, education supportprofessionals, grade-level teachers, interventionists, and other support personnel. Assess students regularly and refine and differentiate classroom instruction based onassessment data and student needs.
